After that, the Macbook rebooted and there it was, the new moving start screen with the fields of the famed wine region Sonoma. Usually, these updates don’t break much and I have never had to revert an update – nevertheless, security first! Installation took only 20 minutes. Because I wasn’t sure if everything would work, I did a Time Machine backup before the process in case any problems would arise. After that was done, this change meant that I also had bring all of my VST plugins and DAW software up to date. macOS Sonoma 14 on my MacBook Pro M1īeing the die-hard Apple user that I am, I couldn’t wait either and installed Apple’s new macOS Sonoma on my 13″ MacBook Pro M1 (16 GB RAM).
